We invite you to join the Brierwood Business Club, which is a new addition to our
“Club within a Club” program. The Brierwood Business Club is independent of the Country Club, and the goal of this organization is to provide members a relaxing and inviting forum for socializing, networking, discussing common business issues and learning best practices from each other and guest speakers.
Attached is the club’s charter. Our First Guest Speaker was Rick Wallace, from Next Level Business Coaching. Rick presented ideas concerning Business Coaching Strategies in a presentation entitled: "Lies that are holding your business back."

Please note that we will collect the annual membership fee of
$25.00 per member at your initial meeting.

Brierwood Business Club Charter
Situation:
Although we as members play golf and socialize with each other it is surprising how little we know about our professional lives outside the club. Therein lies an opportunity to provide a venue and information that will facilitate more business amongst the Brierwood Membership.
People do business with people they like, this club will not change that fact, however it will provide members with information that they can add to their decision making process.
Purpose:
To provide a vehicle for the members of Brierwood, who provide and /or source products and services in the Western New York community, to come together once per month for socializing, networking, benchmarking best practices and learning.
Benefits for Brierwood’s General Membership:
- Creating a Brierwood Business Club directory to be distributed to all the membership and placed on the website. Proving this information to the general membership will, over time, hopefully will facilitate additional business between Brierwood members
- General Member benefits will include Brierwood discounts that could be offered by some Business Club Members
Benefits for Brierwood’s Business Club Membership:
- A quarterly e-newsletter in which all members can elect to “opt in” and will be a source of business information and an opportunity for advertising by Brierwood Business Club Members
- 8 meetings per calendar year (from October to April and one meeting with a golf event in the summertime) offering a social setting to network, benchmark and learn from your peers. You will have the opportunity to promote your products and / or services to Business Club Members by sponsoring a meeting (two sponsors per meeting), and learn from others (guest speakers) in the business and political community
- Another opportunity to grow your business or practice through exposure to over 400 members and their families
Membership Fee:
- $25.00 per member annually
When:
- Monthly Meetings
- Sign-In, drinks and finger food from 6:00 to 6:30pm.
- Two sponsors take the floor promptly at 6:30 – 6:40pm and 6:40 to 6:50pm.
- Guest Speaker 6:50 – 7:15pm.
- Last call 7:15 – 7:30pm.
- Please extend the networking into the Grille Room for drinks and/or dinner
Sponsorship Information:
- We will have two sponsors per meeting
- Sponsors will be allowed to set up a tabletop, with signage, literature, products, etc. Everything must fit on an 8’ table
- Sponsors will be give a maximum time limit of 10minutes to speak to the group about their company
- Each sponsor will be charged $4.00 per meeting attendee and the money will be used to pay for the wine, beer, soft drinks, cheese trays or finger food during the networking sessions
- Brierwood Country Club will cover the “last call” 15 minutes of complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks at the close of each meeting
- Interested sponsors will be selected first come, first serve
Brierwood Business Club Rules:
- The Brierwood Business Club is an open forum and does not endorse a specific product, service or company. Members should be respectful in their business dealings with others. No overt selling, or disclosure of confidential information is permitted
- Companies are encouraged to sponsor club meetings. Sponsors will be limited to 2 per meeting. They will be allowed to have a tabletop display (8 foot), literature and business cards and will be provided a strict maximum of 10 minutes to present their company to the group
- The committee will set all meeting agendas, topics and rules and elections will be held in September to elect the membership of the committee for the 2009/2010 season. Until that time, the founders will serve as the committee
